Preparations are well underway for the feast of St Anthony in Ghajnsielem which this year takes place on the 1st of June. Traditionally, the feast of St Anthony opens the season of the summer feasts.
The official activities start on Friday the 23rd of May, but the highlight of the 9-day long activities will take place on the Saturday and Sunday of the following week, when the St Joseph Band Club will accompany the statue of St Anthony around the main street of Ghajnsielem in the area known as ‘Tal-Gudja’.
