As the counting was concluded today, the number of well-known politicians failing to be elected was fully revealed.
On the Nationalist side were, Ministers Louis Galea, Michael Frendo and Censu Galea. Parliamentary secretaries Tony Abela and Helen D’Amato also lost their seats.
Those losing their seats on the Labour side were, Joe Brincat, Joseph Cuschieri, Joe Abela, Gavin Gulia, Joe Debono Grech, Chris Agius and Joe M Sammut.

Four Nationalist candidates, who were the closest runners-up, will also be taking a Parliamentary seat. They are Frans Agius, Jean Pierre Farrugia, Edwin Vassallo and Francis Zammit-Dimech.
