The price of unleaded petrol and lead replacement petrol has gone down by 0c4 as diesel increases by 0c3 per litre, as from today, the government has announced.
There is also an increase in the fuel surcharge on electricity, up from 62 per cent in July/August to 63.5 per cent for September/October.
The price of unleaded petrol dropped from 49c5 to 49c1 per litre and that for LRP from 52c5 to 52c1 per litre.
A litre of diesel now costs 44c3. The price of kerosene has increased by 0c8, from 43c6 to 44c4.
The price of light heating oil remains unchanged at 27c1 per litre.
The price of thin fuel oil 200 degrees (per tonne) has increased by Lm2.50, from Lm156 to Lm158.50; that of 450 degrees (per tonne) also by Lm2.50 from Lm151 to Lm153.50 and the price of 950 degrees (per tonne) has gone up by Lm2 from Lm144 to Lm146.
