Fontana parish priest, Lino Vella, has been appointed honorary canon at St George’s Basilica in Victoria.
The appointment was made by Gozo Bishop, Mgr Mario Grech, who is the Dean and First Dignitary of the Collegiate Chapter of St George.
Canon Vella, who was born in Kercem, was installed as the new parish priest of the Sacred Heart of Jesus parish of Fontana on November the 18th.
