The Gozo Ministry is once again launching the financial assistance scheme for non governmental organisations and voluntary groups that are Gozo based or operate in Gozo, and that are members of the Association for Gozitan Non Governmental Organisations.
The scheme is intended to support the voluntary sector operating in Gozo.
Around 200 organisations from different sectors have benefited from this scheme. In January 2006, more than Lm14,000 in financial assistance was provided through the scheme.
This year, changes have been made to the existing regulations and the application form has been simplified. Organisations may pick up copies of the application form from the NGO Centre in Xewkija, telephone 21565492, or the ministry, telephone 21561482. Association members will receive an application form by post.
Duly filled in forms are to be returned to the NGO Centre by not later than 29th September. For more information, one may email the association at ngocentregozo[at]gov[dot]mt.
