The Imperial Gozo Yacht Club is organizing a unique exhibition featuring models of the traditional Dghajsa tal-Pass/Latini. The display of small scale models of the lateen-rigged Gozo cargo boats, known as dghajsa tal-pass or tal-latini, some actually built by men who worked on them, will be held at the office of the Yacht Club.
A Show of Gozo's traditional sailing craft will also be held if the weather permits. The range of actual boats on show, with their traditional rigging, will include, the frejgatina, frejgatina bil-kurtuni, kajjik, firilla and dghajsa tal-pass/latini. This event will be held at the fishermen's mole, adjacent to the slipway, at Mgarr Harbour.
These events will be held on Saturday, December the 8th, from 2pm till 5pm and on Sunday, December the 9th, from 9am to 11am and from 2pm to 4pm.
