The Minister of Finance, the Economy and Investment, Tonio Fenech, presented copies of the EuroChallenge 2008 competition winning booklet, designed by a group of young students from St. Michael's School, Qormi, chosen amongst 100 high quality submissions.
Matteo Depares, Andrew Camilleri, Wilbert Tabone and Mauro Magro formed the winning team, under the direction of teacher Joe Agius.
The winning production consists of euro-related information, sudoku and other games. 11,000 copies were printed, that are being distributed in all of Malta's and Gozo's secondary schools, fully financed by the European Commission.
400 students from 34 Maltese and Gozitan schools have participated in this competition, organised by the National Euro Changeover Committee and the Education Division, coordinated by Kevin Azzopardi.
The ceremony was also attended by Ray Camilleri, Director of Curriculum Management and eLearning and Alan Camilleri on behalf of the National Euro Changeover Committee.
