The Ramblers Associaton of Malta, Light Pollution Awareness Group, Friends of the Earth Malta and Nature Trust (Malta) have issued a joint statement, harshly condemning the shooting of an afforestation project ranger near to the Foresta 2000 site in Mellieha.
The NGO's said that the "Criminal acts of individuals who seem to think they are above the law must be swiftly and severely dealt with by the Police." The Environmental NGOs expressed their full solidarity with all who are employed in the field to fight for nature protection and the public's right to enjoy our countryside's heritage.
