Eight children in Gozo and ninety-two in Malta were arraigned in the Juvenile Court last year, Justice Minister Tonio Borg said in reply to a parliamentary question put by Labour MP Adrian Vassallo.
The Minister then went on to provide details regarding some of the offences involved; Twenty were charged with driving cars without a licence, twelve were charged with theft, twelve with disorderly conduct, nine with having caused light injuries and three for having caused serious injuries.
A further seven were arraigned and charged with loitering, one was charged with rape, seven for smoking in prohibited places and one was charged with illegal hunting in Gozo.
