San Lawrenz school recently served as a platform in launching the Eco Gozo project, which at the moment is focusing on students.
Mr Anthony Zammit, a spokesman on Eco Gozo within the Ministry for Gozo, gave a comprehensive explanation of the aim of this project. A project that regards Gozo in a holistic manner which then leads the island to be a model island, showing that, with a little more attention, the population of the island can live in a sustainable manner while living in, and preserving a healthy environment for future generations.
The true concept of this project has to reach every corner of society, starting with children and students. Teachers have a very important role to play in reaching this aim, and it was precisely for this reason that a representative from the Ministry for Gozo brought together all the primary teachers of Gozo, in order to deliver the Government's message about its intentions for Gozo.
