An earthquake measuring 4.9 on the Richter scale was felt across Gozo and Malta early this morning at 5.45am.
The earthquake occurred in the Central Mediterranean and it's epicenter was located approximately 155 kilometres (95 miles) North West of Gozo.
The Civil Protection Department and the Police received numerous calls from people who felt the tremor, however there have been no injuries or damage reported.
Another two earthquake tremors were felt earlier this year, one in August and the other in January.
