An earthquake with a magnitude of 3.4 was recorded just 30km west of Gozo this morning at 8.13am, the Seismic Monitoring and Research Unit of the University of Malta has reported.
On Saturday, the unit also recorded a smaller earthquake with a magnitude of 1.8 with an epicentre 20km to the south-east of Malta.
The Research unit have invited the public to visit their website at www.phys.um.edu.mt/seismic for further information and also to report any experience related to these events.
