Bishop Mario Grech will be leading a diocesan pilgrimage to the chapel at the headquarters of the Christian doctrine society MUSEUM at Blata l-Bajda, where the remains of the Blessed Gorg Preca will be displayed for public veneration.
The pilgrimage will take place on May the 8th, it is being organised to mark the liturgical feast of Dun Gorg Preca which will be celebrated on May 9th.
It will also mark the 100th anniversary of the setting up of the MUSEUM society by Dun Gorg and is in preparation for the canonisation of Gorg Preca by Pope Benedict XVI at the Vatican on June the 3rd.
Pilgrims will leave for Malta on the 4pm ferry and then proceed to the MUSEUM chapel where prayers will be said. Mgr Grech will lead a concelebration at 6.30pm. Tickets may be obtained from the MUSEUM centres and parish offices in Gozo.
