The Social Action Section of the Gozo Ministry recorded a total of 40 cases involving domestic violence in Gozo during the last two years.
Replying to a parliamentary question put by Justyne Caruana (MLP), Gozo Minister Giovanna Debono said that 22 cases had been reported in 2005 and 18 cases reported during 2006.
An additional two cases were also reported during January of this year.
