Truckloads of construction waste have been dumped in the L-Infern valley near Qbajjar, Marsalforn.
It has been alleged that the work was being carried out at the request of the Zebbug council in order to level the road.
The works have now ceased after a Malta Environment and Planning Authority official visited the site and ordered the contractors to stop the dumping.
