A Commemorative Miniature Sheet is being issued by the Philatelic Bureau of Maltapost on Thursday the 18th of October, to assist in the 34U campaign. The stamp on this Commemorative Sheet shows the Maltese olive (Olea europaea), and had originally formed part of the Maltese Fruits 16-stamp sheetlet designed by Andrew Micallef. This set had been issued earlier this year.
Part of the proceeds from the sale of this Commemorative Sheet are being donated to the 34U campaign, in line with Maltapost’s social responsibility towards the environment.
This Commemorative Miniature Sheet will be available from all Maltapost postal retail outlets in Malta and Gozo and from the Maltapost Mobile Unit as from Thursday 18th October and from the Foresta 2000 site, Mellieha, during the Tree Planting Weekend being held between the 19th and 21st October.
The stamp on this Commemorative Sheet has a face value of 75c/Euro1.75. The Sheet has been designed by 26th Frame, and is offset printed by Printex Limited of Qormi. The Stamp is 35.0mm x 35.0mm in size, with a perforation of 14.28 x 14.28 (comb). The Commemorative Sheet in 100mm x 62mm in size.
