For the last ten years the San Lawrenz Local Council has been offering a hot meal to all the elderly who live by themselves. This is offered on the most special days of the year, namely Christmas day and the feast of San Lawrenz.
The Council said that the aim was to offer a good meal on these special occasions and to help these people not to feel lonely and abandoned
The meals on wheels are delivered directly by the Mayor and Councillors themselves.
