Air Malta has been advised by the Italian Airport Authorities that Catania Airport will be closed between the 12-15 May 2008 due to works on the taxi-way of Runway 26.
The Airport will close on 12th May at 1800hrs. Air Malta flight KM 1122 on the 12th May will still depart Malta International Airport to Catania as schedule at 0705hrs. All other Air Malta flights to and from Catania will be shifted to Palermo airport as per the below table (all timings are local destination timings).
Departures out of Palermo will be checked-in directly at Palermo airport facilities as Catania check-in will be closed on these dates. Air Malta advises its passengers to make their own traveling arrangements to/from Palermo.

As a consequence of this force majeure action Air Malta is granting all its booked passengers on its Catania services the following options:
a) Full refund at no administration fees for ticketed passengers who may wish to cancel their travel arrangement on these dates. b) Option to re-book to/from Catania on alternative dates of operation at no additional costs / no rebooking fees / no fare differentials. c) Alternatively retain booked travel arrangements as per current itinerary but re-scheduled to/from Palermo airport.
