In the early hours of this morning, a Daihatsu Charade car was extensively damaged by fire at Triq l-Ispiera in Xaghra.
The Department of Civil Protection was called to the scene to extinguish the blazing car .
A nearby private residence was also extensively damaged by the fire, but fortunately no one was injured.
Police investigations are continuing and Magistrate Anthony Ellul is heading an enquiry.
