BOV to sponsor ‘Lejlet Lapsi Notte Gozitana’

Bov.jpg The Bank of Valletta has signed up as a main sponsor for the extensive programme of cultural events being organized for the 18th, 19th and the 20th of May in Victoria. The events, known as Lejlet Lapsi Notte Gozitana, are being organized jointly by the Ministry for Gozo and the Ministry for Tourism and Culture. "We are delighted to support Lejlet Lapsi - Notte Gozitana in line with BOV's commitment of promoting tourism in Gozo and of playing a leading role in the promotion of arts and culture in our country," said Tonio Depasquale, Chief Executive Officer at Bank of Valletta. Mr. Depasquale was being given a preview of the full programme of events that will be taking place in Victoria and at the Citadel during the weekend around Lapsi. Mr. Depasquale said that the programme being put together should prove to be a crowd puller. "Whilst these events build on the successes registered by similar events held in Valletta, the Lejlet Lapsi Notte Gozitana programme will take place in a unique setting. The programme being put together is ambitious with cultural events taking place over a three-day period and with themed activities taking place concurrently at all the squares in Victoria and the Citadel," he said. Mr. Depasquale said that BOV is proud to be associated with such an innovative initiative that focuses on Gozo. "Through our support, we hope to promote Gozo as a popular destination and help generate increased economic activity in Gozo as a result of the influx of Maltese and foreigners that will be attracted to the island thanks to the innovative programme of cultural events that is being put together," concluded Mr. Depasquale.
