The Bank of Valletta is supporting a collective art exhibition being put up by ten Maltese artists. This exhibition, entitled "Arten", is being held at Palazzo De La Salle, the premises of the Malta Society of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce in Valletta, between the 4th and the 14th of June 2008.
Karl Spiteri, BOV's Manager for Corporate Branding and Quality presented the sponsorship during the setting up of the exhibition. "The sponsorship of this event underlines Bank of Valletta's position as the leading patron of arts and culture in Malta," said Mr. Spiteri. "We are delighted to support local talent and enjoy seeing these works of art displayed for the viewing pleasure of the general public", said Mr. Spiteri. He augured the participating artists every success in their artistic careers.
The collective exhibition will feature approximately seventy works or art in a variety of media, and includes paintings, sculptures as well as ceramics. The combination of different styles of artistic expression is set to create a cultural event which displays the high level of Maltese artists' work.
The participating artists are Sue Mifsud, David Mifsud, Benny Brimmer, Rene Sacco, Martin Formosa, Charmaine Zammit, Johanna Borg Costanzi, Stephania Borg, David Camilleri and Charles Bonnici.
