The Bank of Valletta has once again this year sponsored the Dean’s List of the Faculty of Arts within the University of Malta. The Dean’s List award is presented to the students who achieve A grades in at least 80 credits during the first two years of their course. This is the twelfth year that Bank of Valletta has sponsored this academic award underlining BOV’s active and sustained support towards educational development in Malta.
This year, the students who have made it to the Dean’s List were Ms Charelle Debattista, Mr Marvin Demicoli, Ms Aldith Gauci, Mr Samuel Scicluna and Ms Jana Tsoneva. These students will be graduating in November 2008.
The Bank’s sponsorship was presented by Carmel Borg, Manager of Bank of Valletta’s University Branch to Prof Dominic Fenech, Dean of the Faculty of Arts at the University of Malta in the presence of Prof Juanito Camilleri, University Rector.
“Bank of Valletta is proud to be associated with the Dean’s list, an initiative that promotes academic excellence” said Carmel Borg while presenting the award. “I take this opportunity to congratulate these students for their outstanding achievements,” he added.
Thanking Bank of Valletta for its long-term support, sustained for the past twelve years, Prof. Fenech said “Only the very best are allowed to feature on the Dean’s list. Only students who have achieved high percentile grades without any fails or re-sits can be included in the List”.
The Rector added his congratulations to all students for their high achievement and thanked Bank of Valletta for their sustained support to academic excellence.
