Bank of Valletta will be supporting the Milano Meeting Conference that will be held in Malta on the 2nd January 2008. The conference is being organised by the Malta Institute of Management and will be held at the Corinthia San Gorg Hotel, St. Julians.
The objective of this conference is to promote the financial services sector in Malta, primarily targeting tax specialists in Malta and Rome. Bringing together a panel of speakers from the international and local spheres, this conference will be addressing topics that include International Tax, Maltese Tax in an international context, the Financial Services legislation in Malta and Bank Secrecy.
Bank of Valletta’s sponsorship was presented by Noel Scerri, Executive Head, Human Resources at BOV to Lawrence Mizzi, President of Malta Institute of Management.
During the presentation Mr Scerri said, “BOV is delighted to be the main sponsor of this international conference. With Malta making an excellent name for itself as an international financial centre, the Bank of Valletta Group is positioning itself to play a leading role in this new environment by developing expertise in fund administration, fund valuation and custodial services. We are well aware that the exigencies of international corporate and professional clients can only be met by top-notch service and financial innovation. And we are responding effectively, supporting through our operations Malta’s aspirations to establish itself as a centre of excellence in Financial Services”.
Mr Mizzi commented that this event is yet another MIM activity aimed at promoting Malta and its financial services in the international arena. The conference will be an excellent opportunity for Maltese Managers to network with their Italian counterparts in order to generate further business, and share management practices for the continuous development of the management profession.
MIM is proud of its long association with BOV which has been a corporate sponsor of the Institute for a number of years and Mr Mizzi thanked BOV for the continued support for the Institute’s activities.
Also present was Mr Reuben Buttigieg, Chairman, MIM Training Arm.
