BOV has just installed a new ATM at the Embassy Complex in Valletta. This ATM is equipped with the latest touch screen technology to replace the traditional screen tactile buttons, providing customers with a more user-friendly way of carrying out banking transactions.
This new BOV ATM strengthens BOV's position as the Bank that operates the largest ATM network in Malta and Gozo. It also confirms BOV's position as a technological innovator in this field. Recently, the Bank also introduced on the market the first ATM fully protected with ink stain technology.
Ray Azzopardi, Executive Head responsible for IT Services at Bank of Valletta said, "We are pleased to launch yet another first from Bank of Valletta. Touch screen ATMs are a highly efficient channel through which customers can carry out remote banking transactions." Mr Azzopardi said that the new technology is set to continue to add value to the Bank's customers and to all those who make use of BOV ATMs.
"We operate over 70 ATMs around Malta and Gozo, which are extremely popular with customers who make an average of over half a million transactions every month," explained Mr Azzopardi. "Our ATM network is also the only one that may be used to top-up any mobile phone," concluded Mr Azzopardi.
