BOV handles nearly 40,000 euro transactions in two days

Bank of Valletta has announced that between yesterday (2nd January) and 1400 hours today (3rd January), its branches handled nearly 40,000 euro transactions.
"We are pleased with the level of service that we are offering from BOV branches and the feedback from customers is very encouraging," said John Cassar Torreggiani, Executive Head responsible for the euro changeover programme at Bank of Valletta. He added that Bank of Valletta has over 600 employees deployed at the front line so as to ensure that the best possible service is offered to customers.
"We are pleased to note that Bank of Valletta has taken a leading role in the euro changeover process and is at the forefront in its efforts to make the changeover as smooth and quick as possible," said Mr. Cassar Torreggiani.
Mr. Cassar Torreggiani also announced that today, up to 1400 hours, customers had effected a further 11,000 euro cash withdrawal transactions from BOV ATMs.
"It is encouraging to note that the euro is increasingly entering into circulation," said Mr. Cassar Torreggiani. He added that tomorrow (Friday), BOV's branches will be offering full banking services up to 1600 hours.
