Gozo Bishop Mgr Mario Grech paid an official visit to the Gozo hospital yesterday.
Mgr Grech was welcomed by the hospital staff, including administration staff, consultants, doctors, nurses and the hospital priest's, they all promised him their cooperation. The bishop told them he appreciated their noble work with the sick.
The bishop also visited patients at the hospital and the nearby Gozo mental hospital and homes for the elderly.
Yesterday evening he also celebrated a mass for Gozitan journalists on the feast of St Francis de Sales, the patron saint of journalists.
