Bishop Mgr Mario Grech has appointed Canon Edward Xuereb as Judicial Vicar of the Ecclesiastical Tribunal of the Gozo Diocese. Canon Xuereb was ordained in June 1995, he graduated in sacred theology from the Universita Angelicum in Rome and obtained his doctorate from the University of Malta last year. He has served at the Santa Lucia parish in Rome, the Xewkija parish and is currently parish priest of the Corpus Christi church in Ghasri. Canon Xuereb has also served as a judge within the Ecclesiastical Tribunal in the Gozo Diocese and is secretary of the Presbyterian Council, a lecturer in Latin at the Gozo seminary, diocesan director of altar boys, and ecclesiastical assistant of the diocesan children's branch of Catholic Action.
