Last year was Gozo Channel’s best ever, with the ferries carrying a record number of passengers and vehicles between Gozo and Malta.
The three ferries made a total of 19,200 trips and carried 3,500,050 passengers.
Passenger figures were up by around 100,000 over 2005 and the number of vehicles crossing the channel also increased by approximately 50,000. Gozo Channel also made more voyages between Gozo and Malta, with 420 more crossings than the previous year.
