Bank of Valletta is supporting a collective art exhibition by thirteen Maltese and Gozitan artists entitled 'Inspirations'. This exhibition is being held at the Wignacourt Museum in Rabat, Malta. The exhibition was inaugurated yesterday by prominent Maltese artist Anton Agius.

This versatile exhibition brings together a good mixture of established artists along with some new faces exhibiting works in watercolours, oils, acrylics, pastels, ceramics and stone sculptures. Thus the public visiting the works of art will also be taking a personal journey across the evolution of Maltese art and artists.

As the leading patron of arts and culture in Gozo and Malta, Bank of Valletta dedicates one of its pillars under the Community Programme to support the development of local talent, whilst promoting Maltese art and culture, both on the local scene and overseas.

This exhibition presents an excellent opportunity for the Maltese public to be treated to a variety of media and artistic styles. Furthermore, part of the proceeds from the sales of the exhibits will go towards the restoration of the Wignacourt Museum.

The artists participating in this exhibition are Joe Agius, Noel Attard, Laurence Baldacchino, Charles Bonnici, Benny Brimmer, Twanny Darmanin, Maria Rosella Dalmas, Doriette Gauci Sciortino, Winston Hassall, Victor Sammut, Monica Spiteri, Carmen Vella Gauci and Kenneth Zammit Tabona. The exhibition will remain open to the public until the 31st October 2007.
