The Bank of Valletta has announced that it sold 10,000 Euro starter mini kits to the public on Monday, and was expecting to exceed the 16,000 mark by the close of business on Tuesday.
BOV also said that the sale of starter packs for retailers, which began on the 1st of December, has continued to gather momentum and that in excess of 13,000 starter kits have now been sold or ordered from its branches, an indication that the business community is preparing itself for the new currency.
