There is a backlog of 311 applications from people wanting to buy graves at Santa Marija Cemetery, Xewkija, Gozo Minister Giovanna Debono said in reply to a parliamentary question by Anton Refalo (MLP).
Minister Debono said that graves were last sold in 1994 when two were sold. Another 88 were sold in 1993. Minister Debono added that measures were in hand for the cemetery to be extended to meet the demand.
