Final preparations are underway for the curtain to fall today on the much awaited double-night, triple-bill opera event at the Astra Theatre in Victoria.
The three one-act operas being presented both today and on Saturday at 7pm are Pagliacci, Suor Angelica and Cavalleria Rusticana featuring international singers, the Accademia Musicale Siciliana and the Teatru Astra Opera Chorus. The conductor is Joseph Vella.
A few tickets remain for today’s performance whilst the Saturday performance has been almost completely booked since the Astra’s announcement of this year’s opera production back in April.
Patrons interested in attending should call 21550985 or email bookings[at]mediterranea.com[dot]mt.
Tickets cost Lm25 and Lm20 whilst selected seats cost Lm30 each. www.mediterranea.com.mt
