The Malta Transport Authority (ADT) has ordered the Zebbug Local Council to reinstate all pavement works recently carried out in the central part of Marsalforn. The Authority said that the council had carried out the works illegally, as they were not covered by the necessary permits.
The council has been given fifteen days to reinstate the footpaths to their original alignment and condition.
Should the reinstatement works not be completed to its satisfaction within the stipulated period, the Authority said it would undertake the necessary works at the expense of the Local Council. The Authority also notified the council that it would not be carrying out further consultation talks on the matter until all works had been completed.
