The BOV Shop and Win lottery has ended successfully with 153 BOV Cardholders being drawn as winners.
BOV cardholders who shopped, dined or travelled and paid with a BOV Card during December 2007 and January 2008 were automatically eligible to win back the amount spent up to a maximum of Lm64.40/€150.
BOV Merchants also participated in this BOV promotion. A total of 16 merchants have won prizes.
Commenting on this promotion, John Pollacco, Head of Card Services at BOV congratulated the winners and said that the BOV Shop and Win lottery had reached the objective of promoting cards as a straightforward and efficient payment tool. "December and January are two important months in terms of business activity. These two months also represented the run up to the euro changeover and the period of dual currency circulation. Indeed, the increased usage of cards was one of the factors that have contributed towards the smooth euro changeover process that we had," concluded Mr. Pollacco.
