During the full moon last week it went on all nights. I think they were shooting at the moon also, Maybe it was the Malta hunters who put all the holes on the moon. Well, I have been told not to worry about all the shooting because it is rabbit hunting season. But, all Gozo hunters are illegal hunters whether they are shooting at the moon or rabbits if they do not report illegal bird hunters. Nobody will ever get a legal hunter to report a illegal fellow bird hunter, it will be the end of the legal hunters happy days and he will be the recipient of reprisals against him and his entire family. This even includes the policeman who makes the arrest. That is a very bad position to be in. That is the way it is and will remain that way. Some members of the FKNK are very militant and can be very mean and nasty and are lawless. So beware and watch your step when reporting individual illegal hunters. At this time of year when tourist figures are beginning to fall the country's tourism people should be operating bird watching holidays to coincide with the migration period. I very much doubt though that tourists would come to watch birds being slaughtered!
