On 3 August 2008, Radju Katidral transmitting on 90.9 FM Stereo registered a first in the island of Gozo. It provided the first Online TV transmission from the island.
The dream of Luke Bezzina, an active teenager in the Cathedral parish, came true when together with his brother Jeremy Bezzina, Daniel Sultana, and Ronnie Bezzina, Manager of Radju Katidral, successfully launched the first Online TV at the beginning of the festivities in honour of Santa Marija.
The climax was reached on the 15th of August, the feast of the Assumption, with the live transmission of the Pontifical Mass led by Bishop Mario Grech at the Gozo Cathedral and the live streaming of the evening procession of Santa Marija. Success was beyond expectations and this was confirmed by a considerable number of emails and SMS's from Gozitans living around the world, especially Australia, Canada, the United States of America, Scotland, and even distant Qatar. They all expressed their satisfaction and conveyed their congratulations for the transmission. It was indeed a great success for Radju Katidral.
In the nearby future, this online TV will broadcast other events from the Gozo Cathedral. Information is available on the website of Radju Katidral www.radjukatidral.com.
