Recently, The Folkloristic Foundation Ta Klula, of Santa Lucija, organised its third wine festival in the picturesque village square of Santa Lucija Gozo.
It was deemed to be a wonderful evening of wine, song and dance and was attended by hundreds of people who enjoyed the fine wine, traditional food and entertainment well into the early hours.
Entertainment was performed by the Ryan and the Country and Western Dancers together with the Sannat Folkloristic Group. The wine was provided by Marsovin.
The next event to be held by this Foundation is the well known Ikla Tan Nanna on the 25th of July 2009. This will be another evening of traditional food, wine and folkloristic dancing and singing. There is also a new re-enactment each year.
Bookings can be made for the next Foundation evening by calling Carmen on 79566496. Ticket price is €28 which is all inclusive.
Free transport will be provided from and to Mgarr for those coming from Malta
The founder members of this Foundation are Dame Carmen Bellamy, Joseph Bugeja, Austin Camilleri, Joseph Mizzi and Alfred Stellini. The Foundation was stared in 2005 and several events are organised each year. The Foundation is also the winner of The European Destination of Excellence Award 2008.
