Xewkija is celebrating the Saint John the Baptist feast between the 14th and the 21st of June.
As part of the celebrations the Prekursur Philharmonic Band Club of Xewkija have just launched a new CD, the 11th of the series, with a number of band marches commemorating 80 years of the band club.
Amongst these band marches one can listen to some of the best local Directors like Mro.Vincenzo Ciappara, Major Anthony Aquilina, Mro. Andrew Coleiro, Mro. Emanuel Bugeja, Mro. Anthony Borg (current Band Director), Mro. Joseph Busuttil, Mro. Sunny Galea, local Band Secretary and band player Omar Camilleri, local late band player Karistu Cassar and Mario Azzopardi.
The CD will be on sale, for €12, at the Prekursur Band Club premises and the Lotto booth in the same premises, at St Catherine Street, Xewkija.
