Mr Anthony Hammett has sponsored the servicing costs of three hydrotherapy baths at the Arka Respite Centre in Ghajnsielem.

Two years ago Mr Hammett donated the three Hammett Nursery Baths which he himself had designed.

These baths are used regularly by the Arka clients and they have proved to be highly useful pieces of equipment for carers and physiotherapists during their regular hydrotherapy sessions.

The baths have powerful to mild hydro messaging jets with directional nozzle flow aiding the relaxation and healing of muscle pain.

The nursery bed itself is constructed in such a way as to enable bedridden or immobile clients to be lowered and raised in and out of the water for bathing and hydrotherapy sessions, without the need for strenuous handling.

Mr Hammett kindly also donated a ceiling hoist thus reducing the workload for the carers.
