Relic of St George Preca coming to Gozo

Tomorrow, the relic of St. George Preca, a glass vial of his blood, is to be brought over to Gozo for exposition and veneration throughout the island;

Tuesday 5th June

  • 3.30pm Relic arrives at Mgarr
  • 3.45pm Parish of Ghajnesielem
  • 4.25pm Parish of Qala
  • 5.05pm Parish of Nadur
  • 5.50pm Parish of St. George
  • 6.30pm Cortege from St. George’s Basilica to the Cathedral
  • 7.15pm Concelebrated Mass at the Cathedral
  • 8.30pm Tour of Parishes continues
  • 8.40pm Parish of Fontana
  • 9.20pm Parish of San Lawrenz
  • 10.00pm Parish of Gharb
  • 10.40pm Ta Pinu Sanctuary

Wednesday 6th June

  • 6.00am Tour of Parishes continues
  • 6.20am Parish of Xaghra
  • 7.00am Parish of Zebbug
  • 7.40am Parish of Ghasri
  • 8.20am Parish of Kercem
  • 9.00am Parish of Munxar
  • 9.40am Parish of Sannat
  • 10.30am Celebration with Primary Schools at Xewkija Rotunda
  • 12.00pm Visit to Gozo General Hospital

  • 3.45pm Relic returns to Malta
