On the occasion of the 100th Anniversary from the founding of the Sliema Wanderers Football Club, MaltaPost p.l.c. have advised that a special hand postmark, 100th Anniversary, Sliema Wanderers Football Club 25th April 2009 – Sliema Malta, will be used on Saturday, the 25th of April 2009, at the MaltaPost Sliema Branch.
A limit of 500 commemorative covers which have been issued for the same occasion and in aid of ‘Puttinu Cares – Children’s Cancer Support Group’ will also be for sale from Sliema branch and from the MaltaPost Mobile Unit at the Marsa Sports Grounds during the marathon for the same cause. As from Monday, the 27th of April 2009, these covers will also be for sale at the Marsa (Head Office) branch.
