The stories covered in this weeks issue are:

On Sunday the 5th of April, Chorus Urbanus Productions presented Theodore Dubois’ The Seven Words of Christ at St. George’s Basilica in Victoria. This sacred cantata for soloists, mixed choir and ensemble was composed in 1867 and was being premiered in Malta during this concert. The soloists taking part were Yvonne Galea (soprano), Joseph Aquilina (tenor) and Alfred Camilleri (baritone). The soloists, choir and ensemble were under the musical direction of Dr. John Galea.

On Easter Saturday, Gozo Bishop, Mgr Mario Grech, led a Marian celebration at the Ta’ Pinu National Shrine in Gharb.

The Don Bosco Oratory marked its 75th anniversary since its foundation as well as since the Canonisation of its patron-saint Don Bosco. A Religious Manifestation for Children was organised in Victoria at the same time when the canonisation of St. John Bosco took place back in 1934.
