For f2f Music Limited, it’s the culmination of a six-month-long global search. They have been endeavouring to discover a young artist that they can nurture and develop, and finally launch on the international music stage in 2009. f2f Music Limited has finally completed their search and now believe they have found the artist they have been looking for. They believe that with some major development and promotion, she can take the international pop world by storm. The artist currently resides on Malta. Her name is Sophie. For her, this is the culmination of a life-long dream.
Sophie has always been totally focused on her career, singing and performing in her home country, desperately hoping and dreaming of landing a once-in-a-lifetime recording contract. She has worked tirelessly non-stop for just such an opportunity. The second daughter of a Maltese restaurant chef and an English housewife mother; her parents first spotted Sophie’s talent-to-entertain others at the tender age of eight. Since then, her entire family has worked selflessly, sacrificing many standard everyday taken-for-granted luxuries, in order to foster Sophie’s career. The highlight for them all to date was when Sophie got to represent her country in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest, in Bucharest, when she was only eleven years old.
UK based, London record label, f2f Music Limited, specialize in discovering, developing and promoting new singer/songwriters and composers. They have signed Sophie to a three year, multi-album recording contract, at a star-studded launch, hosted by Her Excellency, Ms Louise Stanton, British High Commissioner to the Republic of Malta, at her official residence lastThursday. Joint Guest of Honor is the Honorary Dolores Cristina MP, Minister for Education, Culture, Youth and Sport. f2f Music Limited then intends to work to place her centre-stage in the international music charts, as the new Princess of Pop.
Plans are already well advanced. Sophie has already worked together with some of the UK’s top music fashion stylists and make-up artists and has recently been photographed in London by top rock photographer, Sam Seager, at the end of March. f2f Music are already in discussions with Red Wall Productions regarding a 12 part, behind-the-scenes TV series based on Sophie’s amazing journey.
Sophie’s first single record, a cover of Shirley Ellis’s 1960’s classic The Clapping Song, produced by Maltese music maestro, Elton Zarb, and mastered by two-time Grammy Award Nominee and legendary Pink Floyd Sound Engineer, Andy Jackson, is released for digital download by f2f Music Limited globally via iTunes, Amazon.mp3 and Napster as of last Thursday, the 9th of April 2009.
