Schola Cantorum Jubilate – The Paschal Triduum

The Paschal Triduum denotes the three days from the evening of Maundy Thursday, with the evening mass of the Lord’s Supper, reaches its high point in the Easter Vigil and closes with evening prayer on Easter Sunday. It is the greatest feast in the Christian calendar since it is the celebration of the Resurrection of Jesus Christ.
For Schola Cantorum Jubilate, Easter time is the peak for its specialisation. The major polyphonic pieces are synonymous with Easter. Such hymns and motets are purposely set for meditation and prayer.
Schola Cantorum Jubilate will animate the sacred liturgy at the National Shrine of Our Lady of Ta’ Pinu in Gharb, Gozo on Maundy Thursday at 6pm. This consists of the commemoration of the Last Supper mass. Tthe holy ceremony of veneration of the cross on Good Friday, service at 3.30pm and Saturday Easter Vigil at 8.30pm. The liturgical celebrations will be presided by H. E. Bishop Emeritus of Gozo, Mgr. Nicholas G. Cauchi.
On Easter Sunday, Schola Cantorum Jubilate will animate a high mass in the Basilica of Marija Bambina in Xaghra, Gozo at 11.00am. This will be aired live on Net TV.
