The silent and picturesque locality of Gharb, welcomed hundreds of visitors for the third edition of Seher il-Punent, a Festival of Arts, Crafts, Music and Traditions.
Celebration Day at Gozo College Qala Primary School – two special activities were presented one “Colours of the World” by the Kindergarten Section and a musical “Panto Pandemonium” by the Primary Section.

The annual street-bound Passion play L-Imsallab fi Triqatna organised by L-Ghaqda Dilettanti Gimgha l-Kbira – Ghawdex, marked the tenth anniversary of the group’s first passion play production staged at the Oratory Don Bosco in 1999. The collaboration between these two NGOs resulted in the first passion play in the streets of Victoria in the year 2000. Throughout the years this pageant continued to be enriched with new costumes, props and participants.
A bronze monument dedicated to Frangisk Portelli of Gharb was unveiled by the Bishop Emeritus of Gozo, Mgr. Nikol G. Cauchi. The monument was erected at the Ta’ Pinu public garden in front of the sanctuary.
A Last Supper Exhibition is again being held at the MUSEUM Nadur Centre during this year’s Holy week.
