Alternattiva Demokratika – The Green Party has said that it salutes the new President of the Republic George Abela and wishes him all the best as first citizen of Malta.
Arnold Cassola, Alternattiva Demokratika Chairperson, said, “Our country deserves a President elected by a strong majority in parliament, one who can help to unify our people and who also enjoys the respect of the international community.”
“As from now George Abela represents all of us, whether PN, PL, AD or whatever, and is the President of all Maltese and Gozitans without distinction. We are sure he will carry out his mandate in the best of ways,” concluded Prof. Cassola.
