World Consumer Rights Day was celebrated in Gozo yesterday, through an activity organised by the Consumer and Competition Division in collaboration with the Ministry for Gozo, at the Centre for Further Studies Sir M.A. Refalo in Victoria.
This activity was an added attraction to Gozitans, as well as to the Maltese who were visiting the sister island during the weekend. Those attending this activity were presented with informative material about the eight basic consumer rights.
The general public present was provided with information on how the consumer should choose best foods for a healthy diet. This activity also included games and other activities for children.
The Minister for Gozo, Giovanna Debono, visited the venue and distributed prizes to winners of competitions held through Saghtar and Taghna t-Tfal publications.
The main theme for this year was Advertising, Fact or Fiction? The effect of food and drink on our Health.
