Until the 31st of May, the Sinclair Stevenson Gallery in Gharb, is hosting the works of Eva Armatys.
Eva is donating 20% of the proceeds to The Gozo Hospital Help Fund towards the badly needed portable ultrasound machine for the Maternity and Gynaecological Department.
Eva Armatys graduated in medicine at the University of Lodz in Poland. After completing her postgraduate training in anaesthesiology, she pursued her interest in art.
She has been living in Malta and Gozo since 1988 and has exhibited her works at various collective exhibitions. Her work graces several Maltese and Gozitan homes.
For her collages she uses natural materials like leaves and petals, as an integral part of her creations. Eva commenting on her collages said, “At first I used the natural colours of the leaves and petals but after about two years they started fading. So that’s when I started using mostly vine and banana leaves and hibiscus petals and colouring them with acrylic paints.” Through her work, she allows nature to portray itself.
To view these spectacular works, and to help the Gozo Hospital Help Fund at the same time, please make an appointment at the Sinclair Stevenson Gallery, 59 Trux Street, Gharb, Gozo on 21562074 or 99262698 or email info@tssgallery.com
The Gallery will be holding an Open Evening on Saturday 28th April from 5pm to 9pm, Dr Harry Vassallo will be present to open this event.
