Mr Franco Masini, in a recent contribution in the The Times, suggested that Gozo should have its own MEP. This proposal will be further discussed during a public discussion to be organised by the Circolo Gozitano at its premises, 7 Sir Adrian Dingli Street, Victoria, Gozo, on Friday, the 27th of February 2009.
The discussion panel will include Mr Franco Masini and Dr Austin Bencini, an expert in constitutional law. In addition, each of the main political parties has been invited to send a representative for the discussion. Dr Joseph Ellis will moderate this debate.
Representatives of Gozo based organisations and members of the general public are invited to attend and take part in the discussion. Contributions from the floor will be allowed. The activity starts at 7.30pm
This activity forms part of a programme of activities that the Circolo Gozitano periodically organises in order to draw attention the island’s needs.
Those attending the discussion are invited to continue with the discussion over dinner being offered by the Maji – Wine and Dine Restaurant at the special price of €18.
Prior booking for the dinner is advised. Booking for the dinner can be made by telephone (21550878) or through email circologozitano@gmail.com
