€ 84488.51 in funding shared by 6 NGOs including Ghajnsielem Red Coats

€ 84488.51 is being shared between six voluntary organisations – including one from Gozo – through the Co-Financing Fund for Voluntary Organisations, which is administered by the Parliamentary Secretariat for Youth, Sport and Voluntary Organisations within the Ministry of Education and Employment
The agreement was signed by the NGOs after completing a number of different projects in their community which had been co-financed by the European Union, and the NGOs have now received the first part of the funding.
During the presentation, the Parliamentary Secretary for Youth, Sport and Voluntary Organisations Clifton Grima, thanked those representatives of voluntary organisations who perform such important work in our country.
He added that the government is committed to continue to help the voluntary sector to gain strength in society. The Parliamentary Secretary reiterated that EU funds play an important role in the development of NGOs.
The six voluntary organisations are: from Gozo – the Ghajnsielem Red Coats (one project), and from Malta – Kopin – International Cooperation – Malta (four projects), KURA Association (one project), Church School Association (one project), Malta Red Cross (one project), Friends of the Earth Malta (one project).
